Incline Village and Crystal Bay Market Watch April 9th-15th 2012

It is officially the ‘Tweener Season’ where Winter has ended, ski areas are closing (even though the snow is some of the best we have had all year) and we wait for Spring to heat up a bit and push us full steam into Summer. Sales were slow this week with only 1 Sale reported to the MLS, but we appear to remain steady while new escrows keep on coming. The good deals are going fast so as a Buyer you must be ready to strike. Inventory levels are currently low, new inventory steadily coming on the market and all indicators on that we are working our way to the recovery. Sellers beware as more and more inventory is going to hit the market in the next couple of months as we head into our busiest season for Real Estate. The good news is that market indicators suggest we are past the bottom of the market and on a slow and long journey to recovery. This does not mean that prices will be rising anytime soon, but it does mean that while inventory levels, your competition is lower and with attractive pricing and amenities on your home you may just get that offer you have been waiting for.

    Seeing the same trend over at Carson — albeit — slower than Reno’s rapidly decreasing supply and Tahoe’s improving sales.
